CBSE New Exam Pattern for 10th and 12th Board Exam 2022-23 Session as well as 9th and 10th annual exam.
CBSE in its latest circular released the Assessment and Evaluation pattern for the Board Exam 2022-23 for 10th and 12th.

10th board and 9th annual Exam
Full Marks – 100 Competency based questions – 40% Objective questions -20% Small and big answer questions-40% |
12th Board / 11th Annual Exam
Full Marks – 100 Competency based question – 30% Objective Questions – 20% Small and big answer question – 50% |
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a big update for coming board exam of 10th and 12th and annual exam of 9th and 11th.
Now 10th Board Exam / 9th Annual Exam will have 40% competency based questions and 12th Board Exam / 11th Annual exam will has 30% competency based questions. CBSE has taken this decision to promote competency based education. Till now only 10% of the questions were competency based.For more details you can visit CBSE Official website www.cbse.nic.in . Competency based questions will be based on the application of concepts that will assess the practical approach of students. CBSE has decided this to make students thinking ability better and to get rid of the bookish knowledge only.
Now all the multiple choice questions, case study questions, small answer questions will also have competency based questions. Till now competency based questions were asked as big answer type questions only.
CBSE is going to hold only one term or one board exam in 2022-23 according to CBSE New Exam Pattern for 10th and 12th Board Exam 2022-23 Session
CBSE is going to scarp previous policy of 2 term split exam. Now CBSE is adopting only one term or one board exam policy for 2022-23. The exam will be based on CBSE curriculum 2022-23 and will include entire syllabus. For current session CBSE is taking the board exam in two terms – term I and term II due to the effect of Corona Pandemic, but now , there will be only one term and one board exam in 2023.

For the current session term 2 exam, number of MCQ questions are 50% but for next session, it will be only 20%.
9th and 10th annual exam pattern →
CBSE has decided to take 9th and 11th annual exam on board pattern for 2022-23 only. Students will be able to assess themselves by appearing in annual exam based on the new pattern of board exam.
Change in Internal Assessment for CBSE New Exam Pattern for 10th and 12th Board Exam 2022-23 Session
CBSE has not taken any decision to change the Internal Assessment pattern. Previously internal assessment was 20% and will remain the same.
