CHANGE IN NEET EXAM. 2021 DUE TO NEW RESERVATION POLICY
All over INDIA GOVT. seats in all states and Union territories is 41388 and among this 15% seats (6208)is of ALL INDIA QUOTA(AIQ). In all India quota seats, other state candidates are also eligible with the students of that state
In these AIQ seats previously only 3 categories were there i.e UR, SC, ST.So in all India quota seats previously OBC and EWS were treated as general. Only in colleges related to UNIVERSITIES under CENTRAL GOVERNMENT OBC and EWS had reservations e.g in DELHI reservation for OBC and EWS was in MMC, UCMS, and LHMC but not in VMMC, RML as it was in Indraprasth university. Now reservation for OBC and EWS will be there in all the seats under all India seats in all government colleges in all states and union territories.
Now for ALL INDIA QUOTA seats, 5 categories will be there i.e SC, ST, GENERAL, OBC, and EWS. Now OBC will have 27% reservation (1676 seats which are 27% of 6208 seats) and EWS will have 10% reservation (620 seats which are 10% of 6208 seats). So the cut-off for all India quota seats for GEN, OBC, EWS will be different now which was the same previously. For example, if cut for GENERAL it’s 620, the cut-off for OBC will be 610 and for EWS it will be around 600.
All the important information about NEET (UG)-2022 and JEE Main 2022 will be given with time.
