This blog is all about Class 12th Mathematics removed parts as NCERT removed some chapters ,topics and sub topics of all the subjects from class 6th to class 12th .It released the list of rationalised content of the subjects in 2023.
Here are the detailed list of Chapters ,Topics and Sub topics of class 12th Mathematics which have been removed by NCERT.
NCERT BOOK PART-1
Relation and Function (Chapter-1) of class 12th mathematics removed parts-
- Composition of function and Invertible Function in section 1.4 at page no. 12, It’s examples are removed. At page no. 12, Definition 8, example 15 and example 16 are
Examples 17 to 22 removed from page no. 13-14. Example 24 ,25 and 26 removed from page page no. 15. Theorem 1, theorem 2 related to Composition of function and Invertible Function,it’s examples 27, 28 and exercise 1.3 at page no 16-19 are removed.
- Full Binary operation in section 1.5 removed from page no. 16 to 26 and it’s examples 45 and 49 on page 27-28 are removed. In Miscellaneous Exercise at page no. 29-30 contained Question No. 1-3, 6-7, 11-14 and 18-19 of removed topics, so removed. Summary point 11-13 and 15-19 at page no. 31-32 removed.
Inverse Trigonometric Function (Chapter-2) of class 12th mathematics removed parts-
Properties of Inverse Trigonometric Function in section 2.3 between page 42 to 44 except Sin function is removed. So, examples and questions which contain properties of Inverse Function except Sin are removed. Example 4, 7, ,8 and alternate solution of example 5 at page no. 45- 47 are removed. Question No. 3, 4, 6, 12, 14, 15 at page no. 47-48, Examples 10, 11, 12, 13 at page no. 49-51 and questions 8, 12, 17 of Miscellaneous exercise at page 51-52 are removed. Summary point 8-13 at page 53 are removed.
Matrices (Chapter-3) removed parts-
- Elementary operation (Transformation) of a matrix in section 3.7 at page no. 90 and 91 has been removed.
- Inverse of a Matrix by Elementary operations in section 3.8.3, it’s examples 23, 24 and 25 ,exercise 3.4 from question no. 1 to 17 at page no. 92 to 97 has been removed.
Example 26 at page no. 98 is related to Mathematical induction, so removed. Question no. 1, 2, 3 and question No. 12 at page no. 100 and 101 of Miscellaneous exercise are related to Mathematical induction which is removed, so these questions are also removed. Third last point of summary at page no. 102 is removed.
Determinant (Chapter-4) of class 12th mathematics removed parts-
Properties of Determinants in section 4.3 (all the 6 properties), examples related to these properties – example 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 and exercise 4.2 at page no. 109-121 has been removed.
Miscellaneous examples 30,31,32 and 34 and Miscellaneous exercise Question No. 2, 4, 5, 6, 11-15 and 17 at page no. 192-193 are related to properties , so removed. Summary points 4-11 at page no. 144 are removed.
Continuity and Differentiability (Chapter-5) removed parts-
- Chain Rule examples 22 and 23 at page no. 165-166 and example 27 at page no. 168 are removed.
- Mean value Theorem in section 5.8, it’s examples 42 and 43 and it’s exercise 5.8 at page no. 184-186 has been removed. It’s examples in example 44(iii) at page no. 186-187 and miscellaneous exercise Q. No. 19 at page. No. 192 is removed. Summary points 5 related to derivatives of cot-1 , sec-1 , cosec-1 and points 7, 8 related to mean value theorem has been removed.
Application of Derivatives (Chapter – 6) removed portion-
Full Tangents and Normals in section 6.4 and Approximation in section 6.5 from page number 206 – 216 which contains it’s concepts, examples and exercise 6.3 and 6.4 has been removed.
Miscellaneous examples 45, 46 at page number 236 – 238 and miscellaneous exercise questions 1, 4 ,5 and 20 – 24 are related to Tangents and Normals, so removed.
Points 4 -10 related to tangents and normals and approximation at page number 245 are removed.
NCERT Book Part -2
Integrals ( Chapter-7 ) removed parts –
- Points XI – XIII at page 290 -291 in the list of derivatives are related to inverse of cot, sec and cosec so removed.
- In section 7.2.1 at page 291 – 292- Geometrical Interpretation of Indefinite Integrals is removed.
- In section 7.2.3 at page no. 298 – 299 comparison between Differentiation and Integration is removed.
- In section 7.6.3 at page no. 613 – 616 type of Integral which is P is removed.
- Definite Integrals as the limit in some of section 7.7.1 at page no. 613 – 616 has been removed.
In Miscellaneous exercise Q .No. 19, 32, 40 and 44 and point 2 in summary at page no 352 – 354 has been removed.
Points XIV and XV in some standard integrals at page 355 are related to sec-1 and cosec-1, so removed.
Application of Integrals (Chapter -8) removed parts-
- The Area of Region Bounded by a Curve and a Line in section 8.2.1 at page no. 363 – 365 has been removed. It’s question no 3 and 6 -11 in exercise 8 .1 at page 366 is removed.
- Area between two curves in section 8.3 at page no. 366 – 372, its examples 11, 13, 14 and questions 2, 3, 6, 7, 8 – 15, 18, 19 from miscellaneous exercise at page no 373 – 376 and last 2 points at page 377 has been removed.
Differential equations (Chapter -9) removed parts-
- Formation of Differential Equation whose general solution is given in section 9.4, it’s examples 4,5,6,7,8 and it’s exercise 9 .3 at page no. 385 – 391 has been removed.
Examples 25 at page 415 – 416, Question Number 3, 5 and 15 of Miscellaneous Exercise at page 420 – 421 and point six of summary at page 422 are related to removed part, so removed.
Vector Algebra (Chapter – 10) of class 12th mathematics removed parts-
Scalar Triple product in section 10.7 at page 616 – 619 and coplanarity of these vectors in section 10.7.1 at page no. 619 – 622 has been removed.
Three Dimentional Geometry (Chapter -11) removed parts-
Major portion of 3 – D Geometry has been removed.
- Relation between the Direction Cosine of a line in section 11.2.1 at page 465 is removed.
- Equation of line passing through two given points, it’s examples 7.8 and it’s questions 8 , 9 in exercise 11.2 at page no. 469 – 471 and 477 – 478 has been removed.
- Plane in section 11.6, Coplanarity of two lines in section 11.7, angle between two planes in 11.8, Distance of point from a line in section 11.9 , Angle between a line and plane at page no. 479 to 497 has been removed.
Question no. 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 10 – 19, 21 – 23 in miscellaneous exercise in page no. 497 – 499 are related to removed parts , so removed.
Linear Programming (Chapter -12) removed portion-
Different types of Linear Programming problems in section 12.3 at page no. 514 – 527 and summary points 2-9 related to it at page no 528 – 529 are removed.
Probability ( Chapter – 13 ) of class 12th mathematics removed parts-
a.Random variables and it’s Probability Distribution in section 13.6 and it’s examples 22 and 23 at page no. 557, 558 and 559 has been removed.
b.Probability distribution of a Random variable in section 13.6.1 and it’s examples 24 -27 at page no. 559 – 565 has been removed.
c.Variance of a Random Variable in section 13.6.3, it’s examples 28 and 29 and it’s exercise 13.4 from page no. 565 to 571 has been removed.
d.Bernoulli Trials and Binomial Distribution in section 13.7, it’s examples 30,31 and 32 and it’s exercise 13.5 between page no. 572 – 578 has been removed.
Example 34, 35 of Miscellaneous example at page 579 – 581 and question number 5 – 7, 9 -11 of Miscellaneous Exercise at page no. 583 has been removed.
Last 3 points of the summary at page no. 585 – 586 has been removed.
